Russian President Vladimir Putin and his United Arab Emirates (UAE) counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday held a phone call to discuss several topics, including OPEC+ cooperation, the Kremlin said in a statement.
The two leaders advocated the further implementation of "mutually beneficial projects in trade, economic, and humanitarian areas" and vowed that "close coordination in the OPEC+ format will be maintained," the statement read.
In addition, the Russian and the UAE presidents addressed the ongoing talks between the US and Russian delegations in Saudi Arabia and their efforts to find a sustainable solution to the conflict in Ukraine. "Mohammed Al Nahyan expressed support for the efforts undertaken by Russia and the United States and, in particular, welcomed the consultations of expert groups of the two countries taking place today in Riyadh," the Kremlin said.
