The North Korean Ministry of Defense condemned on Thursday the United States nuclear missile submarine port call in Busan, South Korea, KCNA reported.

North Korean Defense Minister Kang Soon-nam reminded the US military in a statement that due to the increased deployment "of strategic assets, including strategic nuclear submarines," Pyongyang could use its nuclear weapons under the country's Nuclear Force Policy Act.

North Korea's "doctrine of using nuclear weapons permits the necessary course of action if it is determined that a nuclear attack on the country has been undertaken or is imminent," he explained, warning that the use of force against the country will be "the most miserable choice" Washington and Seoul could make.
