Russian deputy representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky stated on Monday that Moscow is requesting a formal meeting of the UN Security Council due to the alleged Ukrainian military "provocation" in the city of Bucha.
"In connection with the monstrous provocation of Ukrainian radicals in Bucha, Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on Monday, April 4," Polyansky posted on his social network account.
Yesterday, the EU Council President Charles Michel accused Moscow of "atrocities" committed by Russian troops in Bucha. The same day, the Russian defense ministry denied all allegations of any abuse by the country's forces in the city, adding that the West's evidence is based on Kiev's staged footage.
