Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the Finnish ambassador in Moscow after Finland signed a deal on military cooperation with the United States, Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement.
"The Russian side would not leave unanswered the build-up of NATO's military potential on our border, which threatens the security of the Russian Federation, and would take the necessary measures to counteract the aggressive decisions of Finland and its NATO allies," Zakharova noted.
The agreement signed by Helsinki and Washington on Monday enables the US to have more extensive access to Finland's border with Russia.
