Russia's Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media Supervision Service (Roskomnadzor) announced on Sunday it will conduct a check of all the media in the country that interviewed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during Moscow's military operation in the later-mentioned country.
"Roskomnadzor warns the Russian media outlets to refuse to publish these interviews. An audit has been launched against the media outlets that interviewed to determine the degree of responsibility and take response measures," the department wrote on its page on Telegram.
Amid the conflict in Ukraine, Roskomnadzor either restricted or fully blocked access to social media such as Twitter Inc.'s platform and Meta Platforms Inc.'s Facebook and Instagram, and outlets such as BBC and Deutsche Welle.
