German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Friday that, although it is affecting Ukrainians most, the whole world is suffering as a result of Russia's war in Ukraine.
Speaking following a G7 virtual meeting, Scholz stated that the world is experiencing economic consequences amid the war, particularly stressing high energy prices. He added that the world can't let "military scrupulousness" win and must continue to support Ukraine for "as long as necessary," with both financial and military aid.
The German official claimed that there is no sign from Russia that it is willing to end the war and slammed its President Vladimir Putin for deciding to suspend the country's participation in the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START).
