Several security and tech companies announced Wednesday that they are creating a common data standard for sharing cybersecurity information to address issues related to corporate security.
According to industry managers, cyber products are often not integrated, making it hard to solve hacking threats fully. Services supporting the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) will be able to standardize alerts from different monitoring tools, network loggers, and other software, simplifying the interpretation of data.
Some of the project's firms are IBM, Cloudflare Inc., Micro Inc., Amazon Inc.’s AWS, Palo Alto Networks Inc., JupiterOne Inc., Okta Inc., and Trend Micro Inc.
