President Donald Trump praised the decision by the Supreme Court of the United States to overturn an order which froze planning for the construction of a barrier on the border with Mexico. The injunction was for rulings from a federal legal authority in Oakland earlier this year that blocked access to $2.5 billion diverted from the country's military and intended for parts of the wall in California, Arizona and New Mexico of 100 miles in total.
The five justices in Washington that were appointed by Republican administrations backed the appeal from the Department of Justices. Stephen Breyer, who is among the four from other side of the aisle, also opted to support the lower court but he said he would have backed contracting to continue.
Following a compromise with opposition lawmakers from the Democratic Party in May to avoid another risky partial government shutdown, Trump announced he would earmark more than $8 billion for physical construction via emergency orders. Congress has approved $1.38 billion, mostly for indirect measures and only for Texas. "Wow! Big VICTORY on the Wall... Big WIN for Border Security and the Rule of Law!" Trump tweeted.
