Eight people have been hospitalized so far as another 6.4-magnitude earthquake followed by approximately 20 aftershocks hit Turkey's Hatay province, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay confirmed on Monday.
Lutfu Savas, the mayor of the province, told Fox Haber: "Some of our buildings were destroyed. Unfortunately, there are reports that there are people under the rubble. One of our bridges was also destroyed."
The country's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) warned citizens to stay away from the buildings as well as the coastline, as the sea levels are expected to rise by half a meter.
