UAE tells Rubio it opposes Palestinian displacement

United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed his country's firm stance against any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza during the talks with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday.

The leader stressed the importance of linking the reconstruction of Gaza to a path leading to comprehensive and lasting peace based on the two-state solution as the only way to achieve stability in the region. Rubio is visiting the Gulf state following yesterday's high-level talks held with Russian officials in neighboring Saudi Arabia.
