United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson will allegedly face an investigation by the National Audit Office (NAO) following his claims that approximately 40 "new" hospitals will be built by 2030, The Guardian reported on Saturday.
Amid concerns that such a pledge was "unaffordable," the NAO decided to conduct a "value for money review" of the scheme raising further questions about the "honesty and standards" within Johnson's government following the Partygate controversy. With soaring inflation in the country, NAO chief Gareth Davies noted he will observe whether "all projects truly meet the classification of 'new hospitals."
