The yields on the United Kingdom government bonds, known as gilts, tumbled on Friday, as most of them reached multi-month lows, with the return on the two-year gilt hitting its lowest point since late September 2024.

The return on the 10-year gilt decreased by 9.2 basis points to 4.431% at 9:12 am CET. At the same time, the yield on the two-year gilt and the five-year gilt slid by 9.9 basis points and 10.4 basis points to 3.916% and 3.996%, respectively. The return on the 30-year gilt fell by 8.6 basis points to 5.101% at 9:13 am CET.
