United Kingdom Home Secretary Suella Braverman (pictured) resigned from her post on Wednesday.
Braverman said she violated government rules on communication after she "sent an official document... to a trusted parliamentary colleague" from her personal email. The document supposedly contained secure information, according to Sky News.
Nevertheless, she wrote in her resignation letter that "it is obvious to everyone" that the government is "going through a tumultuous time" and that she has "concerns about the direction of this government."
Downing Street later announced that former Transport Secretary Grant Shapps will replace Braverman as home secretary.
