UK may overhaul school system over COVID

The United Kingdom is looking into overhauling its education system so students would catch up with lessons lost due to the coronavirus pandemic, Education Secretary Gavin Williamson said on Sunday.

Speaking to Sky News, Williamson noted the government is considering introducing longer school days, shorter summer breaks and five-term years.

Furthermore, the secretary said that options that will help support teachers are also being looked into.
