The United States embassy in Moscow sent out a notice warning its nationals against traveling to Russia following the deadly shooting attack that happened at the Crocus City Hall on Friday evening.

The embassy also advised its citizens to avoid the area where the reported shooting occurred, noting that the US government's ability to provide emergency services to its nationals in Russia is "severely limited" in the areas far from the Moscow embassy due to "Russian government limitations on travel for US embassy personnel and staffing."

Moscow called on Washington to share any potential details about the incident. On March 7, the US embassy in Russia urged its nationals to "avoid large gatherings" in Russia due to a possible threat that "extremists have imminent plans" to target such events.
