US closes mostly down amid economic uncertainty

Major Wall Street stock markets closed mostly lower on Monday as major tech companies failed to recover from today's losses. Investors also digested the latest remarks from United States President Donald Trump, who stated that his plan on tariffs is "moving very rapidly."

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at the closing bell, while the Nasdaq 100 dropped by 1.21%, with Palantir tumbling by 10.53%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 declined by 0.50% at the close, as Western Digital Corporation plunged by 28.65%.

The euro was flat against the dollar and sold for $1.04650 at 3:59 pm ET.
