Major stock indexes turned red in the premarket trade on Friday with key data releases to come. The nonfarm payrolls report showed employment grew by 199,000 in November, more than expected. The December Michigan consumer sentiment report will come out after the opening bell, with analysts predicting an increase in optimism compared to November.
The Dow Jones fell by 0.26% at 8:38 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.59%, and the S&P 500 declined by 0.32% at the same time.
The euro traded 0.51% lower compared to the dollar and went for 1.07433 at 8:39 am ET.
