Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reached on Wednesday the semi-final of the 2022 Australian Open after beating Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime 6(4)–7, 3–6, 7–6(2), 7–5, 6–4.
The World No. 2 will next face the fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, who defeated Jannik Sinner 6–3, 6–4, 6–2 in the quarter-final. The second semi-final match will be played by Matteo Berrettini and Rafael Nadal, who won the title in Melbourne back in 2009.
In the women's tournament, World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty will face Madison Keys in the first match for the final, and the seventh seed Iga Swiatek will meet Danielle Collins in the other.
