The United States urged Israel on Monday to address escalating violence by settlers in the West Bank, following reports of nearly 20 cars being set on fire near Ramallah.

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed concern over attacks allegedly carried out by settlers, which include damage to Palestinian property, harm to livestock, and disruptions to olive harvesting.

Miller emphasized the need for Israel to prevent further violence in the West Bank and ensure the protection of all communities, advocating for accountability measures to de-escalate tensions and prevent future incidents in the area.
