The French presidential office stated on Thursday that President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi have arrived in Kiev, confirming earlier reports of the leaders' visit to Ukraine's capital.
The visit comes after the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) reaffirmed its supply of heavy weapons to Kiev, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the West to send more weapons to counter Russia's advances in the south and east.
Meanwhile, Ukraine awaited the European Commission's assessment of the country's European Union ambitions prior to the bloc's decision on Kiev's accession to the Union.
