Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for his government's decision to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and allow other partners to do the same. Zelensky said Scholz also promised "further broadening of defense support and training missions" and called these measures "important and timely."
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba added that "for Ukraine and partners impossible is nothing" and called on other allies that have Leopard 2 tanks in service "to join the coalition and provide as many of them as possible."
