Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that Kiev is "interested" and "would like" to meet with representatives of the Chinese side as he recognizes the important contribution they can make to the "peace formula."
At the diplomatic level, Zelensky said, it is "in Ukraine's interests" to meet with the Chinese counterpart. "The more countries of the world are involved in the peace formula ... the better," Zelensky told a press conference along with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
Zelensky's remarks come after the visit of Chinese Central Foreign Affairs Commission Office Director Wang Yi to Moscow. In this context, the representative of the Chinese government expressed his willingness to play a constructive role in resolving the crisis.
