Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on Saturday that anti-terrorism measures are being taken in the Russian capital as the private military company Wagner Group seemed to advance through the Rostov region. He said additional control has been introduced on the roads and that mass events could be limited amid preparations for the Youth Day celebrations on Saturday.
Moscow region Governor Andrey Vorobyov said security measures are strengthened throughout, with additional checks possible on roads in the southern direction. He called on residents to remain calm and to refrain from traveling by personal transport in the south of the region.
