Amy Coney Barrett was sworn in as 115th justice to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS).
"This is a very important ceremony," US President Donald Trump asserted during the swearing-in, describing the vote which affirmed Barrett to the country's highest court as "momentous."
The official constitutional oath was administered by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Coney Barrett's Supreme Court nomination has been confirmed by the US Senate earlier in the day.
