United States House of Representatives voted to block US President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration he tried to use to allocate funds for building a wall on the US-Mexico border.

Every Democrat and 13 Republicans voted for the resolution that will now go to the Republican Senate where it could also pass if four Republicans and all of the 47 Democrats back the resolution. A Republican Senator from North Carolina Thom Tillis said he would back the resolution and media speculate that Republicans Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski will also vote for it.

Trump, however, warned he will veto the bill.
