Japan hit by 5.2-magnitude earthquake

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded in northern Japan, according to data provided by the Japan Meteorological Office.

The tremor struck at a depth of about 58.6 kilometers and its epicenter was some 81 kilometers east-north-east of the Japanese city of Matusu, home to around 56,244 people according to the 2020 Census information.
