Qualcomm shares surged over 14% on Friday to go for $64.99 on reports of a possible takeover bid by Broadcom. The offer is expected to be around $70 per share which would value the deal at around $100 billion. According to Dow Jones, Broadcom could make the move as early as this weekend. So far, none of the companies made any comments.

Yesterday, US President Donald Trump announced that the American communications chips manufacturer Broadcom Limited will move its headquarters from Singapore back to the US. Its stock jumped 4.43% at 7:58 pm CET to trade at $271.

Qualcomm sued Apple again yesterday alleging that the iPhone-maker shared proprietary Qualcomm technologies with Intel.
