US House passes bill to fund government

The United States House of Representatives passed a bill to keep the government funded and avert a shutdown. The bill will now head to the Senate. 366 lawmakers voted in favor, including all except one House Democrat, and 34 Republicans were against.

The legislation will provide federal funding until March 25. It also includes disaster and farm aid but does not suspend the debt ceiling, a clause President-elect Donald Trump insisted on.
