Iranian Minister of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Eisa Zarepour announced on Wednesday that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force had successfully launched the country's third military satellite.
The IRGC Aerospace Force performed the launch of the Noor-3 from the domestically manufactured Qassed launcher and put it into orbit at an altitude of 450 km. "I congratulate all [Iranian] people, those active in the country's space industry, and the IRGC's space experts for this success," the minister wrote on X.
This is the third satellite of its kind after the launch of the Noor-1 in April 2020 and the Noor-2 in March 2020.
