The Canadian government announced on Sunday it would temporarily ban flights from the United Kingdom after the new variant of coronavirus had been found in that country.
The authorities added the ban would apply only to passenger flights, but not to freight.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated earlier the government would review the situation regarding international travel from the country after the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Austria, France, Germany, and Ireland all canceled air-travel entry from Britain.
