Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) Leader Jeffrey Donaldson (pictured) said on Monday that even though the Windsor framework on Northern Ireland brought "significant progress... across a number of areas," some "key issues of concern" remain.
The head of the UK loyalist party in Northern Ireland wrote in a statement that "in some sectors of our economy EU law remains applicable" in the British region under the new proposal.
"Where necessary we stand ready to engage with the [UK] Government in order to seek further clarification, re-working or change as required," he pointed out, adding that the DUP will be looking into whether today's agreement "respects and restores Northern Ireland's place" within Britain.
