S. Arabia demands ceasefire in Gaza, Lebanon

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, condemning Israel's military actions as a "massacre" against Palestinians and Lebanese.

Speaking at a joint Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit in Riyadh on Monday, he urged the international community to "immediately halt the Israeli actions against our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon."

Leaders from across the Arab and Muslim world gathered at the summit, expressing shared concerns about the violence. Crown Prince Mohammed underscored the importance of recognizing Palestinian statehood and urged unified action to protect Palestinian and Lebanese rights. Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati were among the attendees, joining in condemning the escalation, while Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit highlighted the urgency of addressing the crisis.
