The second day of the temporary humanitarian pause between Israel and Hamas was marked by delayed hostage-prisoner exchange after the militant group accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement, pushing the release of captives back by a couple of hours. However, Qatar and Egypt, the two parties behind the four-day truce, managed to resolve the deadlock.

Shortly before midnight local time, Israel announced the safe return of 17 hostages from Gaza, including 13 Israeli nationals and four Thai citizens. Meanwhile, Thailand revealed that the number of its nationals who were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7 increased by two. In turn, the second group of Palestinian prisoners was released from Israeli prisons. As part of this exchange, Israel received the next list of captives anticipated to be freed on Sunday.

The Palestinian Red Crescent previously reported that Israeli forces have besieged two hospitals in the West Bank overnight. The Palestinian Health Ministry said that Israeli troops killed six individuals in the Bank.
