Iran frees seized oil tanker

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Wednesday that it has freed the Vietnamese-owned oil tanker it seized back in October.

Iranian officials noted that the Sothys oil tanker left Iranian waters after transferring the oil from the tanker.

Reports indicate that the tanker is now anchored in international waters in the Gulf of Oman, but the state of its crew is currently unknown.
