Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari said that the country forecasts an increase of 30% up to 40% in the bilateral commercial trade with Russia, following the ratification of an agreement reached in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to Safari in an interview published Wednesday by RIA Novosti, deals under the mentioned agreement "have been developing well so far" and he sees "commercial deals between Iran and Russia, as well as between Iran and Eurasia will increase by 30-40%."
After both countries conducted talks in December regarding a "big interstate agreement," international leaders, such as NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, expressed concerns about the strengthening of relations between Moscow and Tehran.
