The annual inflation rate in Spain in November came in at 2.4%, the country's National Statistics Office (INE) revealed in its preliminary report published on Thursday. The figure rose from October's 1.8% and matched market expectations.
Month-on-month, the prices increased by 0.2%. The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) grew by 2.4% on an annual level and remained the same on a monthly one.
The document attributed the rise in the general index mostly to the increased prices of electricity and fuels.
