British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his government secured on Wednesday support from the House of Commons for the Windsor Framework, the upgraded Northern Ireland Protocol from the Brexit agreement with the European Union.
The deal received support from 515 Members of the Parliament (MPs). Meanwhile, 29 voted against it. According to various British media reports, the vote indicated a divide within the Conservative Party, as 23 of those votes are believed to be from the Tories' lines.
Earlier, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) from Northern Ireland said it will vote against the deal, and the same was reported for former prime ministers Liz Truss and Boris Johnson.
