Sweden to send Leopard battle tanks to Ukraine

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced Friday that Sweden will send Leopard battle tanks to Ukraine, among other arms.

"Today's military package also includes further air defense components. We will continue to help Ukraine win the war," the prime minister said on Twitter.

Sweden thus joins a group of countries that gave the green light for the shipment of that model of battle tanks to Kiev; among them Germany, Poland, and Spain.
