Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat on Thursday rejected claims by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz who said Turkey would have lifted several trade restrictions against Israel.

"The statements of the Israeli Foreign Minister are absolutely fictional and have nothing to do with reality," Bolat posted on X. He reaffirmed that his government "stands behind the decision" and it "remains valid" until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration agrees to stop attacking Gaza, accepts a ceasefire deal and vows to "uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to our Palestinian brothers."

In a press conference, he added that Ankara is seeking a "lasting ceasefire" between Israel-Hamas by "leading diplomatic initiatives to restore the peace in the region."
