Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova claimed on Wednesday that foreign mercenaries are actively participating in the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region.
"Foreign so-called soldiers of fortune are also actively involved in the attack on the Kursk region. American mercenaries defiantly posted on the Internet a photo of a Ukrainian Armed Forces mortar unit's position near a playground in Kursk Oblast," Zakharova said at a press briefing.
Additionally, the diplomat accused the foreign soldiers of endangering the lives of civilians, including children, and labeled them “fascists” and “terrorists.”
