Iran's Revolutionary Guard official reportedly killed in Syria strike

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) senior official Mohammad Reza Zahedi was killed in Damascus, Syria's capital, in an attack by Israeli forces, Al Arabiya reported on Monday.

Syrian state news agency SANA reported earlier that the Israeli army launched airstrikes from the "occupied Syrian Golan" targeting the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

On the same matter, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based organization, disclosed that "Israeli missiles... destroyed the building of an annex to the Iranian embassy... in Damascus, killing six people."
