Jeffries slams GOP spending bill

United States House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said he will vote against the short-term government funding bill, CNN reported on Thursday. The legislation was negotiated by House Republicans after President-elect Donald Trump rejected a previous bipartisan deal.

Earlier, Jeffries criticized the GOP bill, stating it is "laughable" and predicting that its failure will lead to a government shutdown on Saturday. "House Republicans have been ordered by right-wing extremists to shut down the government," he claimed. Jeffries also warned a government shutdown will impact holiday travel, border security, small businesses, and disaster relief.
