United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday that the government will aim "now" to repair issues with "fragmented and complicated leadership structures of Downing Street."
He apologized again before the parliament "for the way this matter [the party scandal] has been handled" and for things the government "simply didn't get right." Johnson added that "an office of the prime minister with a permanent secretary to lead No. 10" will be created to address some of the issues noted in the report released by senior civil servant Sue Gray earlier in the day.
The government "can be trusted to deliver," Johnson underscored.
