Conservative Members of the Parliament (MPs) agreed unanimously on Thursday to launch an investigation against Boris Johnson over the "partygate" scandal.
The investigation will determine whether the Prime Minister broke coronavirus restrictions and misled the Parliament, after his repeated denials of lockdown parties in 10 Downing Street.
Last week, Johnson was penalized over COVID-19 lockdown breaches along with UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak. The Prime Minister repudiated allegations of breaking the lockdown rules and apologized for the scandal, however, noted he would not resign over the matter.
