South Korean National Intelligence Service shared on Wednesday that while 3,000 North Korean soldiers have already been moved to Russia, a total of 10,000 troops will be dispatched by December to fight against Ukraine.
During a closed-door meeting held in the National Assembly, with the details conveyed to the public by the leaders of the Intelligence Committee, the intelligence service mentioned that Russia will provide North Korean troops with "special training." One of the leaders, Park Seon-won, detailed that the exact numbers cannot be confirmed, with this only being a rough estimate.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate Chief Kyrylo Budanov told The Economist a day prior that Moscow agreed to help Pyongyang develop its nuclear capabilities in exchange for servicemen and missiles.
