United States President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview that the matter of aid to Ukraine wasn't discussed in his call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We talked about a lot of things but aid was never discussed," Trump said, even though the Kremlin stated that Putin called for an end to military aid for Ukraine. "Russia has the advantage, they have encircled about 2,500 soldiers and that's not good," Trump said when asked about Putin's decision to halt attacks on energy infrastructure without agreeing to a full 30-day ceasefire.

"We had a great call, it lasted for almost two hours, talking about a lot of things toward getting it to peace and we talked about other things also," he added.
