The Palestinian Islamic Jihad armed wing, Al-Quds Brigades, said in a Telegram post on Monday evening that its fighters are involved in "fierce clashes" with the Israeli army close to the city of Khan Younis in the southern region of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the military wing of Palestinian Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, stated that it targeted two military vehicles and a tank belonging to the Israeli army north of Khan Younis. According to Al-Quds' statement, its forces targeted three Israeli tanks, an armored personnel carrier, and a bulldozer in the northern part of the Strip. In addition, the Islamic Jihad Brigades stated that it bombed Israeli troops in the central part of the Palestinian enclave.
Israel previously confirmed that its military pushed into the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
