Johnson won't face confidence vote over partygate - Raab

United Kingdom Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab told Sky News on Wednesday that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson most likely will not be facing a confidence vote next week over the partygate scandal.

Raab stated that he "doubts" that many Members of Parliament (MP) are sending letters to Sir Graham Brady, Conservative party's chair of the 1922 Committee, to question Johnson's leadership. In order to overthrow Johnson, 15% or 54 Conservative MPs would have to write to Brady.

Raab reiterated that both the "accountability" and "transparency" have been addressed and that the UK government is "getting on with the job." "I think it is clear from the circumstances of this particular gathering... that there was no deliberate breach of rules and that's the key point," Raab asserted.
