The United States and Russia's summit on the conflict in Ukraine will be held in Riyadh on March 24, the latter country's president Vladimir Putin's foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov announced on Thursday.

Speaking to the press, Ushakov confirmed that Russia's delegation will be led by former Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Grigory Karasin and ex-Federal Security Service (FSB) Operational Information and International Relations Service Head Sergey Beseda. He also expressed his hopes the negotiations will be "productive."

Furthermore, Ushakov said he had talks with US National Security Advisor (NSA) Michael Waltz on the activities of the two workgroups dedicated to solving the conflict in Ukraine both countries formed after a phone call between their presidents, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
